An Eye Out

Keep an eye out for photographer and musician Kelsey Bennett. Here's an interview from The Weekly Dig

Tie Off Before You...

This Boston based indie rock band has just released their new EP "Don't Harm Barbara Gordon". Now this is the music I moved up here for. These four guys started up The Peasantry back in January of 2006. You would never guess it when listening to their tunes. Check them out, you will be glad you did. Farah Siraj

In just listening to Farah Siraj's music, one cannot deny the cross-cultural blend that exists. Flamenco sprung from Arabic influence, but Farah Siraj, the Jordanian who has found her home in Spain, has created a lush blend of flamenco and middle-eastern music. While Farah's music is in Spanish (okay, and some splashes of Arabic) with flamenco guitar, cajon, and palmeros, her melody lines soar with micro-tonal decents and approaches characteristic of middle-eastern styles.

But don't write this off as just another world artist. Farah's music is not only rich in textures, rhythms, and melodies, but also contains rock and electronic elements that take her music to a whole new level.

Farah Siraj is currently working on a full-length album, however, you can click below for an example of Farah's music.
